MALAPA HALEKANE ~ THE BRAND THAT SPEAKS TO   THE PEOPLE Tsietsi Terrence Motswadi The Hustle that feeds me The past struggles may have been partially won by the youth of 1976. Today as young people of South Africa we're facing new age world struggles. In a structured economical system that is somewhat biased to the new generation in this era, we constantly find ourselves in between the social ills, mental illness, poverty and the lack of free quality education. We have seen young people in the past few years fighting for free quality education in the fees must fall protests, these protests showed the resilience and determination that young people possess. We have seen many young people struggling to fight against poverty in their communities through various programs and youth initiatives. It is with no doubt that the unemployment rate among young people keeps growing at rapidly. We still fall short in the fight for economic freedom in this lifetime in this era, none...

The Journey of Ontebile Raplaasa Motlhaga a young agri-preneur from Mogwase Agri-preneur Creator and owner of Farmersburg  In a country that has a vast population of young people as opposed to many countries, we still find ourselves under tremendous economic challenges that have led to the high rate of unemployment amongst the youth.  Even after the apartheid era economic freedom is still a battle that has not yet been won. Many young people are fighting this battle with the hope of winning in the end, amongst many other forms of fighting unemployment is the rapid growth in small businesses in and around the townships and villages. We are seeing more and more young people using their creativity and different expertise in business to alleviate poverty in order to create employment for other young people in and around their communities. Starting a business as a young person with no funding or any assistance from the government or private sector can be quite...

BOTSHELO MATHULOE A RISING STAR BEYOND THE HORIZON

BOTSHELO MATHULOE  A RISING STAR BEYOND THE HORIZON  I Have Conquered! The revolutionary Soweto uprising of 1976 was embodied by thousands of school children who flooded the streets of Soweto, as they lamented and fought against the oppression inflicted on them, when the Afrikaans language was introduced to them as the medium of instruction in local schools. Their response led to continous protests against this ruling, this did not only show the resilience and power that young people have but it also portrayed the immense struggle that young people face in a structured system of inequality. Here we are today 44 years later faced with different challenges that still erupts from inequality of a structured system, that somewhat deprives many impoverished young people in our society. As we gear up for our National Youth Month celebrations, we are confident that the struggles will not keep us down instead we will continue to rise above them in all adversities. ...

IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO START OVER..

IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO START OVER...  Sometimes in life we make bad, uninformed choices that lead us astray and we find ourselves engulfed with the weight of picking up it pieces.  We often enjoy the sins of the flesh and forget that every action in life whether good or bad has consequences.  The hardest journey I've ever had to take, was when I had to pick up the pieces from my own bad choices.  My late teen years were by far the most difficult years of my entire life.  I began another decade having to deal with the past mistakes and choices I took in my teen years.   It has been by far the most draining, stressful and painful decade of my life.  I never thought I'd make it this far alive and well.  My twenties have never been a walk in the park I felt like I was carrying the whole world on my shoulders, being a single mother at 17 having to stay at home to take care of my daughter after she was diagnosed with a fat...
